What is ‘A Revolution, Televised.’’?

‘A Revolution, Televised.’ is a special program currently featured at Docunight. In this collection, we proudly present the films of distinguished Iranian and International directors, filming and crowd-documenting the turbulent weeks and months of the 1979 revolution in Iran, depicting the revolution’s social and cultural impacts and tracing its national and international legacies. Regardless of your take on the revolution, we’re sure you will find some of these documentaries quite fascinating.

What documentaries are being shown?

You can see the list of documentaries and directors that have been specially selected and curated for ‘A Revolution, Televised.’ in this page. Docunight has worked on improving the quality of some of these important films, which will be screened in their enhanced format for the first time.

How long does the program last?

Except for two films (Filmfarsi and First Case, Second Case), ‘A Revolution, Televised.’ will be available to our member on our platform for a while. Non-members would be able to get a pass to access this program for 15 days, starting February 10th.

How can I watch the documentaries?

You can watch all of our documentaries, including this program, on all devices by subscribing to Docunight, or you can buy a one-time pass for ‘A Revolution, Televised.’ We are working on our OTT apps (Apple TV, Roku, FireTV, and iOS), and which will be available very soon. Keep in mind that you can also buy a monthly or annual Docunight subscription as a gift for your friends and family.

Can I buy or rent individual documentaries?

No. We usually only offer our documentaries to our members, but for this program, we are offering program passes to non-members as well, but not single-movie passes tickets.

Do the documentaries have subtitles?

Yes, all of our films (except a few supplementary films) are subtitled in English.

What countries can watch?

Except for one film (Filmfarsi), which is only available in North America, ‘A Revolution, Televised’ will be available worldwide. (except for Iran)
